Kubris presents Grific, the innovative service for Risk Mitigation Management

Kirey Group

A unique tool that will help companies mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency and insurance companies to determine fair premiums and provide innovative services

Kubris, the innovation center of Kirey Group presents GRIFIC (Global Risk Index for Insurance and Companies), an innovative service that, by combining information on atmospheric and catastrophic events, allows to know the risk index of a specific area of the Italian territory.
The scientific partner of Kubris for the Grific project is the Epson Weather Center, one of the most accredited private and applied meteorological and climatological research structures in Europe that, using the large amount of data available, using the models mathematics and algorithms for predictive analysis, provides Grific with an enormous amount of information that, once analyzed, elaborated, managed, and made available to be represented on multi-level maps, makes them crucial to identify the correct index of risk.
Risk prevention is a fundamental aspect that concerns all types of companies, from those with critical industrial infrastructures to smaller companies. Companies, in fact, need to better understand what risks they are subject to, even from the point of view of the increasingly stringent European Directives that require them to constantly assess the status of their organization.
Grific, as the only information point on current and future catastrophe risks, offers detailed information on each geographical area, through a simple and intuitive interface and is also available as a mobile application, able to provide alerts on the catastrophic events expected with 72 hours of notice.
In this way it will be easier to prepare, reduce the value of a possible loss and mitigate future risks.
Thanks to the information gathered in real time and integrated with the observations of the past and with the future projections, companies will be able to adopt customized Loss Prevention and Disaster Recovery plans, thus improving operational efficiency and Business Continuity and signing insurance policies with greater awareness of risks and consequent costs. Furthermore, by sharing these plans with insurance companies and brokers, they will be able to establish a transparent relationship that facilitates the reduction of insurance premiums and of litigation in the event of a claim.
From the point of view of the insurance sector, the Companies will be able to exploit Grific by integrating its data with the other information in their possession for a better management and risk assessment, quoting online insurance premiums in real time, with the aim of providing services always more innovative and competitive.
"In designing Grific we started from the real needs of companies and insurance companies", explains Alessandra Girardo, CEO of Kubris, "We started to imagine this service two years ago on the impulse of an insurance broker that had received from a company the request for assessment of the territory in order to conclude a policy. Since then we have engaged in the search for a scientific partner, competent and reliable, able to support us and we have focused on the concept of 'all risk' policies, able to cover a large amount of risks usually not included, such as those linked to catastrophic events, the transport of goods or forest fires ".
"For over twenty-two years we have been synonymous with reliability and scientific seriousness in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences," adds Raffaele Salerno, Director of Meteo Operations Italia, a company better known by the Centro Epson Meteo brand, "Our ability to process large amounts of information and providing reliable forecasts have enabled us to make the necessary data base for the project available to the project. "
In the "all risk" perspective, the Kubris team is already working on the 2.0 version of Grific, in which it proposes to add further layers of data to its platform to make the service more complete, interposing for example with the transposed network , with data on petty crime, or with forecasts regarding fires and more.
Among the future objectives of Grific, Kubris intends to integrate Blockchain technology into the service, to certify the actual catastrophe and its impact with greater speed. The adoption of the Blockchain will allow, in fact, to record with certainty whether the measures envisaged by the Loss Prevention plan have been adopted by the user, for the benefit of certification of the entity of the claim and its liquidation.
